This is the picture I started out with and there is no way I captured the luminosity of this scene but I tried.- Image removed see this bloggers post on copyright
The process began with felting very broadly onto a piece of craft felt, then some embroidery and free machine stitching, finishing with the beading, followed by more embroidery.
I think stretching it (the process has warped the base fabric) and providing a backing sheeting might make it clearer, we will see.
As a teaser, here is the beginning of April which is actually much further on and probably as close to being finished as this March is.

it's radiant and marvelous!
I think it looks very done! :) I'm envious of all the needle-felters out there, it's getting very popular and it provides a fabulous look. This piece is stunning!
It's a great piece! And wonderful how you incorporated so many different techniques into your piece! Wonderful!
I disagree with you...I think you've captured the luminosity very very well. That strip of yellow and the way it fades into the surrounding colors really does the trick :-)
I like this a LOT!!! It's very abstract looking, even though it's based on a real scene. I'm so glad you gave us a click-to-enlarge picture so I can see the details. You put a lot of work into it! And the results are lovely (and luminous) indeed!

You have captured the picture beautifully. I love the textures.
